The first building in Israel to become an “Iconic House”

The residence of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, the first President of the State of Israel and the founder of the Weizmann Institute of Science is a rare architectural gem in Israel. Designed by Erich Mendelsohn, the House is the first building in Israel to become an Iconic House after undergoing an extensive restoration and conservation process over the past year. The House has now reopened to the public and offers daily visits which expose the visitors to the story of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, whose vision of science and statehood led to the founding of Israel and the Weizmann Institute of Science. Throughout the tour, a special emphasis will be put on Chaim Weizmann’s contribution to obtaining the Balfour Declaration in honor of the 100th anniversary of this important document of November 2, 1917.

The House is open Sunday – Thursday
